Using Pendant Lighting in the Bathroom
If you're worn out with standard lighting options, incorporating pendant lights in the bathroom can add to the style of your space and introduce charming focal points that elevate the look and feel of your decor. But when you're hanging bathroom pendant lights, it's helpful to keep a few things in mind:
- Calculate the right hanging height: While there are other factors to consider, a good general rule is to hang your bathroom pendant light 12-20 inches below an 8-foot ceiling. With each foot your ceiling height increases, add an extra 3 inches.
- Remember the secret to perfect bathroom lighting: "The Rule of 3" won't let you down. After incorporating subtle accent lighting in the room, hang a single pendant between two sconces on either side of the mirror, or use a ceiling light with dual pendant lights framing the mirror to provide ideal lighting in the bath. Tip: try using mini pendants in small bathroom spaces.
