This style of lighting features visible Edison filament light bulbs as part of the design look of the fixture. Many times the bare bulb will be exposed in an open pendant frame, or will be seen hanging down from a frame or ceiling canopy. Are Edison pendant lights built into the fixture?

In some cases an Edison pendant light may have an LED component that is built into the design. More commonly, however, these pendants feature replaceable filament light bulbs.

Does Edison pendant lighting include the bulb?

Many of our designs do include the Edison filament bulb. If the bulbs are included that information will be stated on the product copy of the design. If the bulbs are not included that will be noted as well, and the type of bulb needed to get the look shown will be spelled out for you.

Can an Edison pendant light use an LED bulb?

Yes they can! LED Edison filament bulbs are commonly available, and are included in many cases with the pendant design. These types of bulbs mimic the look of old, vintage-look tungsten-filament incandescents, but use long-lasting energy efficient LEDs.
